According to WTHR, the intruder was trying to climb into the house when Binky stepped in. The brave cat helped protect his family and gave them quite a story to tell.

“That would-be burglar showed up to a house here in Philly, determined to get in not knowing that the family cat would be determined to keep him out.”
Binky’s owner, Cynthia Kootz, was surprised to hear him growling.

Around midnight, Cynthia heard a noise outside and went to check. She saw nothing unusual, so she went back inside.
Minutes later, a stranger began banging and kicking on her front window. He tried to persuade Cynthia to let him in.
“I mean, he was beating and kicking. Trying to tell me that I gotta let him in.”
The man refused to give up and tried to break in. As he reached through the window to open it, Binky sprang into action and went after him!

The man tried to get in again, but Binky stopped him once more! His proud owner said:
“Binky blew up like a balloon and got him again!”
Police found the man and arrested him for vandalism and residential entry. They also called paramedics to treat the wounds Binky had left on his hands.
“He ain’t clawless, he can only fight. And he has got some pretty sharp fangs!”
According to the WTHR reporter, the man struggled to admit that a cat had caused his injuries. Watch the video below for the full report.
Cynthia was shocked, but she was also grateful for her brave cat. Binky had helped protect their home when it mattered most.
Hopefully, no one has to face a break-in. But it’s easy to see why Cynthia now calls Binky her little hero!
