“And Just Like That” Star Adopts the Beloved Cat From Season 2

Let’s welcome Nepo Kitty! While Carrie Bradshaw took some time to decide about getting a pet, Sarah Jessica Parker knew right away that she wanted to bring the sweet cat into her life.

In Season 2 of And Just Like That…, Carrie welcomes a new furry friend named Shoe, a cute kitten given to her by her friend and colleague Che Diaz.

Parker shared on Tuesday that Shoe, also known as Lotus, has officially joined the Parker-Broderick family.

She revealed that they adopted the kitten from a humane society. Now, Lotus is living happily with their two other cats in their West Village home.

Parker shared a whole slideshow of Lotus’s adorable photos.

“If he looks familiar, that’s because he is. His off-camera name is Lotus.” 

She went on: 

“He and his siblings were all given botanical names when they were rescued as newborns by the @cthumanesociety. Adopted officially by the Parker/Broderick family in April 2023. He joins Rémy and Smila who we adopted in May 2022. X, SJ.”

Kristin Davis, Parker’s co-star from “And Just Like That,” shared her love for Lotus by saying, “Love him so much.”

Jessica Seinfeld also praised the Parker-Broderick family, calling them an “A+ Cat Family.”

When “Shoe,” also known as Lotus, first appeared on the show, Carrie didn’t seem very excited about having him around.

But in real life, Sarah Jessica Parker was ready to build a special connection with the cat.

Over time, even Carrie’s character started to love him. From the TV series to real life, Parker and Lotus have formed a sweet friendship.
