Philadelphia Contractor Surprised When Faint Meows Come From Inside a Wall

Cats can sometimes find their way into the strangest places and have no clue how to get back out.

That’s exactly what happened when a Philadelphia contractor working on an abandoned house discovered not just one, but 16 cats hiding inside. Want to know how it happened? Let’s take a look.

What started as a normal Sunday workday quickly turned into an unexpected rescue mission.

While he was working, he started hearing soft meows coming from inside the wall. At first, he thought the cats were just outside nearby.

But as the sounds got louder, he realized a cat was trapped inside the wall.

When he told the homeowners what was happening, they opened up the wall. They were shocked by what they found.

Instead of one trapped cat, they discovered nine adult cats and seven kittens hiding inside.

No one knows how the cats and kittens got trapped inside the wall. The most important thing is that the contractor found them in time.

It took him eight long hours to rescue all of them, but he didn’t give up. In the end, all 16 cats were brought to safety.

After saving the cats, the contractor contacted Animal Care & Control Team of Philadelphia, and they quickly stepped in to help.

Many of the rescued cats and kittens were in very poor condition, showing just how much the contractor’s quick action helped save their lives.

Sadly, one kitten passed away shortly after being rescued despite everyone’s efforts.

The other cats and kittens were taken to the shelter, where they received proper care, medical attention, and a safe place to rest.

The rescue team is hopeful about these cats’ future. They plan to help them become more comfortable around people and find them loving forever homes.
